Following continued changes in the economic landscapes of many emerging markets, the market capitalisation of local currency-denominated emerging markets bonds now far exceeds that of US dollar-denominated debt. The markets are characterised by increasingly strong regulatory frameworks and sound economic policy.
The Mellon Emerging Markets Debt Local Currency Fund seeks to capture the alpha opportunities offered by the local currency-denominated debt markets in emerging economies using a transparent, disciplined and repeatable investment process. Part of the Dublin-domiciled Mellon Global Funds range, the fund is managed by debt specialist BNY Mellon Asset Management specialist company, Standish Mellon Asset Management.
